Burgdorf Hot Springs re-opening for the first time since Nethker Fire

BURGDORF, Idaho (CBS 2) — The Burgdorf Hot Springs, an hour north of McCall, will re-open for the first time since the Nethker Fire started.

Firefighters worked tirelessly for several weeks to keep damage minimal to the hot springs, Burgdorf, and wildlife resources in the Payette National Forest.

"We are so very happy to still be here thanks to the tremendous firefighting effort this past week," reads a Facebook post from the Burgdorf Hot Springs. " Thank you All for all of your support & care!!"

The hot springs will re-open Thursday (Aug. 29), from 10am-8pm daily.

Burdorf Hot Springs posted during the peak of the fire activity, informing patrons that it was in the closure area.
