49ers WR rookies FORCED to pay a whopping $15,000 dinner bill in Las Vegas as rookie duties by

The San Francisco 49ers‘ veterans showed no mercy to their rookie wide receivers as they pulled a fast one on them. They tricked the newbies into paying for dinner in Las Vegas.

It has always been a tradition for senior players to welcome their new teammates by throwing a dinner party. An occasion to get to know each other better and get rid of the jitters.

New 49ers wide receiver Isaiah Winstead shared a short clip of the party on Instagram. It shows Deebo Samuel holding a restaurant bill worth $15,134.30. The rookie WRs are the ones who had to pick up the tab. Usually, the rookies face the line “Welcome to the NFL” during their first matchday. Who would have thought that a catchphrase could be used like this as well?

When the clip first started circulating on social media, several agreed that it was too much to force the rookies to spend that much money on a dinner. However, they can rest assured that this did not happen. Deebo Samuel later clarified that it was just a harmless prank they pulled. Moreover, the actual bill was $2500. Rather than leaving the rookies to pay, the veterans chipped in and divided the amount amongst themselves.

Lol was prank 😂😂 wouldn’t do our two rook wideouts like that funny to see how scared they got though.
Tab was only 2500 https://t.co/KD7tCdQDIS

Deebo Samuel has faith in the San Francisco 49ers’ wide receiver culture

27-year-old South Carolina native Deebo Samuel is one of the main men in Kyle Shanahan‘s army of 49ers. Why wouldn’t he be? He is a multitasker, running up and down, catching throws, and even stopping them if needed, like a running back.

This helps the 49ers’ defense shrug off pressure from the opposition. No wonder they finished as the best backline in the NFL last season. On the other end of the spectrum, he leads the attack toward the red line. Samuel believes it’s the culture that Coach Shanahan has instilled in the players.

“It’s the culture and the guys that we bring in,” Samuel told the NFL Network, showering praise on his defenders. “Just look at it from top to bottom. From Hufanga to Fred; a lot of pads are clacking.“

The receivers have been very happy with this year’s training camp, finding it to be the best. It’s still a work in progress, considering their quarterback dilemma. However, Samuel believes hard work is the key that will earn them glory.
